Packing from yarn from fibrous PTFE filled with graphite and saturated with oil. Due to such composition, the braided packing is hardly susceptible to squeezing from the stuffing box chamber, at the same time softly adapting to the chamber’s shape. The low friction coefficient and high thermal conductivity protect against excessive package overheating under the effect of the pump shaft’s high rotations.
Application
Recommended for using in pump and fittings stuffing boxes in contact with water, steam, oils, solvents, salts, acids and alkali, except for very strong oxidizers. The most popular PTFE packing. It may be used in industry branches. However, it is most often used in the chemical, paper and paint industries and in the artificial fertilizer industry.
